Mrs. Universe Japan 2025 Finalist Mari Fujita Pays a Courtesy Visit to Tetsuji Arifuku, Mayor of Sakaide, Kagawa Prefecture

On July 2, Mrs. Universe Japan 2025 finalist Mari Fujita (@marimo3535marimo) paid a courtesy visit to Tetsuji Arifuku, Mayor of Sakaide City, Kagawa Prefecture.
Ms. Fujita began thinking about raising the social standing of women after watching her mother run for city council after turning 60. Around that time she encountered Mrs. Universe, which shows the world women who never give up on their dreams and keep taking on challenges. Inspired by its philosophy, she decided to enter the pageant.
Ms. Fujita leads a multifaceted career, working in the real estate industry while also performing as a jazz singer.
She spoke passionately about her determination for the pageant and her wish to contribute to her hometown of Sakaide.
Mayor Arifuku shared memories of serving on the city council alongside Ms. Fujita’s mother and sent his encouragement for her appearance at the national final.
