Results of Mrs. Universe Japan 2026, Held on July 28, 2026, Featured on Yahoo! News and Deview

The results of Mrs. Universe Japan 2026, held on July 28, 2026, were featured on Yahoo! News and on the audition and entertainment news site Deview.

The articles report that 44 finalists, ranging from their 30s up to the oldest at 80, took the stage, and that after the speech and walking rounds, 56-year-old Yuko Yoshimura of Yamagata Prefecture was crowned overall winner (Grand Prix).

Ms. Yoshimura works for a local media company and has spent about 20 years building the region's largest free newspaper in Yamagata.

At the pageant, she delivered a speech filled with her own experiences and her feelings for women living in regional areas. Holding up the word "agasuke," a Yamagata dialect word meaning something like "show-off" or "someone who puts herself forward," she declared:

"At 56, I will be more agasuke than anyone, and become a bridge connecting the passion of women all over Japan to the world."

That was the powerful message she delivered.

Under the themes of "raising the social standing of women" and "building a society where every woman can shine as herself," Mrs. Universe Japan values many facets of each woman's appeal, not only outer beauty but also her experience, her care for society, her drive to act and her leadership.

Please take a look at the challenge of finalists who took a new step forward regardless of age or background, and at the scenes from the 2026 pageant.
