Finalists Join the Hybrid Networking Event "Marine Litter Seminar"!

On March 15, finalists took part both via Zoom and in person in the hybrid networking event "Marine Litter Seminar," held at Minatomirai in Yokohama!

Six members of Mrs. Universe Japan took part in total and shared what they learned.

The speakers explained that once plastic waste reaches the coast, it degrades and breaks into smaller pieces, which greatly increases the cost of collecting it, so it is important to collect it while it is still on the beach.
I also learned that when litter breaks down to nano size, its impact on living things extends even to raising their oxygen consumption rate, which has a major effect on the planet.

I learned a lot. Litter is a problem the whole world faces, so I think seminars like this are very important 👍
As an adult, I want to be a good example to children when it comes to litter, so I will do my best, starting by paying attention to the litter around me, with nature and the environment in mind.

I was absolutely fascinated by the recycling activities YAMAHA is working on. I took part via Zoom this time, but it made me want to join an event in person! I also strongly felt that I want to take on these efforts through my own general incorporated association.
I want to commit myself fully to this, for our future and for the future of the children who will carry the coming era.

The day is divided into Part 1 and Part 2, and the Mrs. Universe Japan national final will be held in Part 1. Various booths will be open throughout the day, so please stop by and enjoy a range of experiences.
If you are unable to attend in person, you can also cheer on the finalists with an online streaming ticket or by voting in advance. Part 2 will feature the awards ceremony, a dance time and more.
This stage comes only once a year, and we look forward to welcoming you!
