Volunteer report from the “Nanakai Children’s Cafeteria” on Harajuku Hill, Shibuya! Our finalists experience a day full of smiles with the Justy Charity Group
On February 15, three finalists (Neiro Edagawa, Mari Fujita and Yu Nanase) volunteered at the “Nanakai Children’s Cafeteria” held on Harajuku Hill in Shibuya Ward!
The “Nanakai Children’s Cafeteria” supports local children and families raising children. Beyond serving warm meals, it plays an important role as a place where children can belong and where parents can connect with one another.
This time, Neiro Edagawa, Mari Fujita and Yu Nanase took part as volunteers, spending time with the children and helping serve meals.
Neiro Edagawa, volunteering at a children’s cafeteria for the first time, shared: “The mothers’ smiles lead to the children’s sense of security and their smiles too 💓 Eating until they were full made everyone energetic and smiling ♪”
“As someone without children, I have had almost no opportunities to be involved with kids… Taking part in this activity and seeing the smiles of the children and mothers enjoying themselves… I truly felt how important places like this are,” says Mari Fujita.
Yu Nanase shared: “Here is a safe place where you can eat your fill, where it becomes a reason to get out of the house and talk 😌✨ As someone raising children myself, I felt there is nothing more reassuring than this!!”
She also seems to have realized that a children’s cafeteria can be an emotional anchor for people raising children. “Thank you for letting me take part in such a truly wonderful initiative, where children who, for various reasons, can’t eat their fill can be nourished in both heart and body 💕!” she said, feeling the deep significance of the children’s cafeteria.
Through this volunteer activity, we too recognized anew the vital role children’s cafeterias play in the local community. The children’s smiles, the relieved expressions of the parents, and the warm gaze of the volunteer staff all came together to create a wonderful space.
The Justy Charity Group will continue to actively take part in social contribution activities.

The event is divided into Part 1 and Part 2, and the Mrs. Universe Japan national final will be held in Part 1. Various booths will be open throughout the day, so please stop by and enjoy a range of experiences.
If you are unable to attend in person, you can also support the finalists with an online streaming ticket or through advance voting. Part 2 is scheduled to include the awards ceremony and a dance time.
