paid a courtesy visit to the Mayor of Nanporo, Sorachi District, Hokkaido.
She explained the philosophy of Mrs. Universe and the purpose of the pageant to the mayor, and spoke about how she came to take on this challenge, her contributions to society, and her volunteer activities.
She also asked about the issues facing Nanporo and was given valuable insight into the town's initiatives to address them.
She felt the warmth of the mayor and all the town staff, and received words of encouragement for the pageant.
