Nine Mrs. Universe Japan 2025 Finalists and CEO Kazue Oshima Pay a Courtesy Visit to Fukushima City Mayor Hiroshi Kohata

On July 4, a group of 11, including nine Mrs. Universe Japan 2025 finalists, an alumna and CEO Kazue Oshima, paid a courtesy visit to Fukushima City Mayor Hiroshi Kohata.
In 2023, Mayor Kohata became the first head of a local government in Japan to register with and join the "Male Leaders' Group for Accelerating Women's Active Participation," a Cabinet Office initiative through which male leaders promote women's advancement. In May this year he also launched a certification program for small and medium-sized companies that promote women's advancement and the employment of people with disabilities, putting great effort into advancing women from the regions. We wanted the finalists to share with him their feelings about competing in Mrs. Universe, as well as their commitment to promoting women's advancement and contributing to society, and so this courtesy visit came about.

During the visit, we shared the philosophy and significance of Mrs. Universe and each finalist's feelings about the pageant, and heard from Mayor Kohata about Fukushima City's support for women entrepreneurs and its reconstruction and revitalization initiatives. We exchanged views with one another, making it a truly meaningful and rich time.
