Charity Donation Report: From Mrs. Universe Japan to Heart Space Miyazaki

Turning women’s voices into support and the power to change society

Bellissima Japan K.K. / Mrs. Universe Japan is working toward a society in which women can value themselves, make their own life choices and move forward. To that end, we engage in a wide range of social contribution activities that go beyond running pageants.

As part of these activities, we once again made a donation this year to Heart Space Miyazaki (General Incorporated Association), which provides counseling, shelter support and support for independence for women affected by domestic violence.

A charity born from the activities of Mrs. Universe Japan

This year, Mrs. Universe Japan held a charity project during the training camp attended by the finalists.

Rather than simply raising donations, the project was designed as an opportunity to learn about social issues such as domestic violence, to think about “what we ourselves can do,” and to turn that into real action.

The finalists also gave fundraising speeches, with each participant conveying the need for support in her own words.

Together with advance online voting, charity activities at the national final and support from many of you, this year we were able to raise 245,000 yen in donation funds.

After deducting 75,000 yen in expenses such as airfare, 170,000 yen was delivered to Heart Space Miyazaki as a donation.

Thanks to the cooperation of so many people, we were able to donate more than we had originally planned, and we are truly delighted.

“I want to turn my experience into hope for someone else”

Behind this initiative are the voices of the women involved with Mrs. Universe Japan themselves.

Among past participants are women who have overcome experiences such as domestic violence and moral harassment, and who have begun sharing those experiences with society.

One finalist, speaking of her own experience, says:

“I cannot change the past. But I can turn that experience into hope for someone else.”

With this conviction, she continues to speak out about domestic violence and drug-related issues on stages in Japan and abroad.

Another finalist told us that hearing from survivors and supporters gave her the chance to reflect on psychological abuse, something she had never been able to recognize on her own.

Each time we encounter voices like these, we feel that “knowing,” “putting it into words” and “sharing it with someone” are the first steps toward changing society.

Heart Space Miyazaki invited to the national final

Members of Heart Space Miyazaki also joined us at this year’s Mrs. Universe Japan national final.

After the event, they sent us a warm message:

“Watching these women refuse to give up, face forward and take on a challenge, we felt the supple strength and radiance of the human spirit. We want to share this inspiration with women who are now hurt by violence and living with self-blame and loneliness.”

What Mrs. Universe Japan values is not competing on outward beauty alone.

It is about facing yourself, accepting yourself, past included, and beginning to walk your own path once again. And then, rather than keeping that experience and strength to yourself, using it for the sake of others.

We believe that this is where “true beauty” lies.

Women who regain their confidence by taking on the pageant challenge go on to give that strength back to society and to others.

We believe that as this small cycle gradually spreads, more people will be helped, and it will become a force that changes society itself.

Through Heart Space Miyazaki, this donation will be put to careful use in counseling, rebuilding lives and supporting the independence of women who need help, including those affected by domestic violence.

Report on our 2026 charity activities

In 2026, through the national final and our charity bazaar, a total of 779,800 yen was raised in donations.

The donations you so kindly provided will be given to various support organizations to help with their respective activities.

Once again, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your warm support and cooperation.

Mrs. Universe Japan will continue to widen the circle of women’s empowerment and social contribution under our motto, “Creating a kinder world through co-creation, not competition.”
