Many Asian countries have a strong affinity for Japan, and Japanese models are in high demand for advertising. Our CEO Kazue Oshima herself says her life changed when she won auditions in Hong Kong and modeled in global campaigns for POLA, Volkswagen and 7-Eleven.
Models we have produced have shot a Hilton Hotels campaign in Singapore that also ran on billboards in Shibuya, landed a magazine cover as their first job after signing, and been cast as the lead in a commercial straight away.
We used to travel with our models to meet agencies, but since 2020 many have obtained visas and started working abroad through online promotion and remote interviews alone.

Bangkok is a vibrant, year-round summer city with a market for Japanese models, plenty of work across neighboring countries, and shoots for major magazines and commercials. There are both fashion and commercial agencies, so it is worth trying whether you are tall or a little shorter. Many agencies provide a visa, housing and pocket money once you sign (*rent is deducted from your earnings, but you are not charged if no work comes in). Thanks to connections with Japanese agencies, casting information after you arrive is another advantage.
